Somatic Therapist in San Diego — Online Trauma Therapy Using EMDR & Somatic Approaches

You've probably already tried to make sense of it. Maybe you've talked about what happened, understood it on some level, told yourself you should be over it by now. And yet the body hasn't gotten the message. You still feel it. In your chest, your gut, your nervous system. Still getting triggered in ways you can't fully explain. Still bracing for something that already happened.

Trauma doesn't resolve through insight alone. It lives in the body, and that's where it needs to be met.

Somatic therapy works at the level where trauma actually lives: not just in the story you tell about it, but in your body's nervous system, in the physical patterns that formed around what happened. It works with sensation, breath, and the body's own capacity to complete what got interrupted and find its way back to safety.

I'm Morgan Fleming, a somatic therapist offering online sessions to clients in San Diego and throughout California. My approach integrates Somatic Therapy, Somatic EMDR, and depth Psychology, a combination I find consistently effective for trauma healing. Somatic EMDR helps process specific memories that are still living in the present tense. Somatic work helps regulate the nervous system. Depth Psychologyy helps you relate to the parts of yourself that formed around the pain with compassion instead of judgment.

My approach is also grounded in depth psychology, because real healing isn't just about putting out fires. It's about understanding yourself more fully and building a life that actually fits who you are.

Sessions are available via telehealth throughout California, so San Diego clients can connect from home.

I offer a free 15-minute consultation for new clients. Reach out to share a little about what you're navigating, and we can talk about whether this is the right fit.

  • One-on-one sessions designed to help you understand yourself more deeply, process what's keeping you stuck, and build a life that feels more like yours. We work at your pace, using approaches tailored to your unique history, nervous system, and goals.

  • Couples therapy helps you and your partner move out of stuck patterns and toward more safety, understanding, and connection. Whether you're navigating conflict, rebuilding trust, or simply wanting to grow closer, sessions provide a structured space to do that work together.

  • Somatic therapy works with the body as an entry point into healing. Rather than only talking about your experiences, we pay attention to physical sensations, breath, and nervous system responses to help you process and release what's been stored in the body.

  • Somatic EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy that helps the brain reprocess traumatic memories so they lose their charge. The somatic component means we also track what's happening in your body throughout, creating a fuller and more grounded healing experience.

Our Process

Start with Safety

Before anything else, we build a foundation of trust and nervous system safety. Healing can't happen without it—so we take the time to make sure you feel comfortable and grounded in our work together.

Collaborate Openly

Together we explore what's showing up in your body, your relationships, and your emotional life. We look at the roots—not just the symptoms—drawing on somatic awareness, attachment patterns, and the unconscious to understand what's really going on.

Work at the Level of the Body

Using Somatic Therapy, Somatic EMDR, and Depth Psychology, we go beyond talking to process what's been stored in your nervous system. This is where real, lasting change happens—not just insight, but felt, embodied transformation.

Integration & Growth

Healing isn't a single moment—it unfolds over time. We track what's shifting, build on your progress, and help you carry the changes you make in sessions into your relationships and daily life.

  • You are a sea of light. Open your eyes. See yourself.
